God Is In The Game
The love and grace of God is so amazing! Who would ever imagine that while playing a card game, God would show you a truth that could change your life for the better. When the game first began, I was fresh and excited, looking forward to winning. But, then suddenly, things started going downhill and it began to look more like defeat. Excitement wained and grumbling and complaining started. It was frustrating because it wasn't supposed to be this way. Then I realized that I wasn't really paying close attention and I started to make foolish choices and mistakes. Did that last play just cost me the game?
Then that gentle voice of God speaks showing me that sometimes I handle situations in life the same way. The reality of that statement went right to my heart. Maybe you can relate as well.
Perhaps you received prayer for healing and you left "excited" believing that you were healed. Then some symptoms began to flare up -- "it wasn't supposed to be this way!" Don't let excitement wain and start down a path of defeat. Stay in the game. Keep "looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith...." Heb. 12:2. Stay focused on winning the victory provided for you -- "... by whose (Jesus) stripes you were healed." I Peter 2:24
Don't give in to murmuring and complaining; instead, keep thanking God for what He has done, encourage yourself in the Word of God, refresh yourself in the presence of God, and persevere until you have the victory.
